Video: First week in Hanoi, Viet Nam

Wish we could integrate smell and taste into the video to give you the full breadth of the Vietnamese experience.  But, at least, we provide a video, on the basis that if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a thousand pictures.

Enjoy and we’re looking forward to your feedback…

Wow! What a culture shock with all these motorbikes! The food looks amazzzzzzzing!!! Can’t wait til you are settled to come and visit.
Laughing all the way to the gym as a warm up exercise. Lol.

The motorbikes are just the beginning of culture shock…. from the food we encounter to the challenges in communication where what you think is “obvious body language” does not mean a thing to Vietnamese. And then… the language. Wow. It has five different tonal values, each impart a different meaning to the words. However, whenever we try saying a few words, which takes quite a few times of practise, it is greeted with much hilarity at our attempts.

The video definitely gives a better idea of what the laughter yoga is about than stills… With the moto-taxis, careful not to put your foot into the back wheel while moving (from experience!).
